This is the third post in our weekly series 'Officialese,' which showcases a kind of news and viewing frame of the world that a large chunk of China's population (certainly many times more people than even live in my own country!), that is all they ever see and understand about the world around them. Also, every time we translate an article, we'll include some of the more interesting comments, too.

On the last No. 109 bus of the day in Zhejiang’s Jiangshan City, junior high school student Zheng Yimin is always the last one to get off the bus. Before disembarking, she always done one specific thing, for which some people praised her for being warm-hearted, while also others said that they could not understand her.

The sun had already fallen when the last No. 109 bus in Jiangshan City was making its way down the road. A girl stayed there every day, standing quickly to go through from the front to the rear of the bus, closing every window and picking up all the rubbish before the bus arrived at the terminal.

This young girl is called Zheng Yimin, a grade eight student from Jiangshan City’s Chengnan Middle School. The driver of the bus said he always felt moved every time he saw Yimin help to pick up the litter on the last bus.

Once the bus driver Mr. Xia said to the students taking the bus that: "Kids, please don't throw the garbage on the bus because I'm old, and could you put yourself in my shoes?” Though Mr. Xia said it casually, Yimin took it seriously. From then on, she started to do the cleaning for the No.109 bus, for example, she would always pick up the biscuits and bread crumbs with her own hands and then take them away when she got off the bus.

Since Yimin started doing it, it has been lasting for over 300 days, moreover, she has never mentioned it to others, but does it silently

When her head teacher and parents learned about this, they were not surprised. Her head teacher Mrs. Zhan said, "she has a very good character! She has left an initial impression of politeness on all her teachers, and this has continued the entire time we have known her." Yimin usually gave a hand to the female cleaners of school when she saw them sweeping the floor, and she often helped her mom with the housework.

She has kept doing it silently for over three hundred days. From the moment that she bent down to pick up the litter, turned around and left quietly, we could see the girl's sincere heart, which is so pure.

To relieve the drivers' workload, and make them feel not that exhausted, she picked up trash for the last bus day after day. We could not help acclaiming her for her kindness and youthful enthusiasm. Terrific! She has such a sincere and warm heart that makes her so beautiful!
